Vegas // Disneyland

Hello Everyone!!

We have been back from our lovely vacation for about a week now and although it feels good to be home, we miss California already.

I'll go day by day with lots of pictures in this post so prepare yourself now!!

First I just want to tell you how amazing this vacation of ours was...
The weather was absolutely amazing... some days, really hot (at least for me) so I was REALLY swollen the entire time, but I didn't care.
Lia did awesome on all the drives we took, even the 9.5 hour drive straight home.
The days felt so long (in a good way) so it ended up feeling like we had been gone for two weeks vs just the one week that we were actually gone, so it made it much easier to come home.
I can't explain how refreshed we felt by the end.
We got as far away from real life as possible.
We didn't worry about things at home, money, jobs, laundry, preparing for baby.
We just lived in the moment and so grateful we did.

Day ONE:: Las Vegas

We got to Vegas in no time at all and checked into our hotel. I did the dumb "Name Your Price" thing on Priceline.com and we got a cheap room at the Stratosphere... not impressed. I wouldn't recommend it but hey, for one night, who cares.

We went right to the strip and explored all the shops (surprisingly didn't buy a thing!!)

Us at Caesar's Palace

Right before dinner at Gilly's BBQ just outside of Treasure Island. Delish.

Us girls at Caesar's Palace

The view from the Venetian (Vegas is pretty beautiful at night!)

Day TWO:: Hotel and Newport Beach

Sadly with our friends that were also visiting California were there on business so we couldn't meet up with them. But we went to Newport Beach that just happened to be 15 Minutes away from our hotel (I'll include some pictures of that as well).
We stayed in the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana. It was beautiful, we thought. I'm so glad we stayed there. It was really affordable and had ALL the extras (free hot breakfast and afternoon drinks/snacks, pool, workout room, plus all are suites, so they have a living room and separate bedrooms so we got our very own room!!! yay!)

Above View

They had so many HUGE fish and families of turtles

Waterfalls and rivers... so beautiful!

Newport Beach

After we checked into our hotel, we decided to go to the beach! We definitely weren't swimming so we didn't worry about changing but once we got there, Lia went straight to building sand castles.

After a quick change of Lia's sandy clothes, we stopped for an early dinner here.... OH MY GOD.
If you love seafood like Robbie and I do, you HAVE to come here. its right by the pier.
You can't miss it. Its called Baja Lobster. (REMEMBER THAT NAME!!)

Day THREE:: Disneyland!!
First up, Character Breakfast at the Plaza Inn with Minnie and Friends.
I highly recommend going. It's pretty pricey, but for the one on one time that you get with the characters and to think, they actually come to you! No waiting in two hour lines (hence the reason we only saw these characters in person)

Lia loved the castle and had to call herself a princess all day everyday!

We stopped and enjoyed the parade! Lia especially favored the princesses.

About to go on Dumbo with dad!

It was such a perfect first day!!!

Day FOUR:: California Adventure Park

In Cars-Land, this face says it all... yes even though it was Dad's birthday, it was still all about her (the face says it all)

Fell asleep in the Ariel line.
Just a few pictures from the Pixar Parade.

Day FIVE:: 1/2 Beach 1/2 Disneyland Part 2

I didn't get a ton of pictures of our last day, but Lia loved watching the parade one last time.. she just clapped and danced and waved to all of them, the whole time!!

Blurry sorry! This is the face of pure admiration when it comes to those princesses. She still has not stopped talking about them!
It was a really wonderful trip. I'd give anything to go there again tomorrow, haha. Day six was spent in the car on our way home.
It was nice that even though I'm pregnant, Robbie was still able to take the opportunity to go on those rides that Lia and I couldn't, so I think that made it even more enjoyable for him.

It's definitely a magical place...
