Well, I have quit my job to focus on being a mommy and preparing on the arrival of baby Duke.
I have to say, it's a bit bitter sweet and somewhat strange.
I've always worked. Felt independent.
Now, it's all just so weird knowing that having a job isn't going to be all consuming like it has been for my entire life.
I'm truly lucky that I have a husband who works so hard to have me be home with our children, even though we aren't expecting Duke to arrive until June/July.

I have been so so sick for the past two weeks. There's this cold going around that for some reason has attacked me a bit harder than the people around me.
Maybe it's just because I am pregnant that things turn on you quicker... but this went from cold to bronchitis.... back to cold and we are just hoping this whole time, that it doesn't turn into pneumonia.

Valentines day was really fun!
We didn't go all out like we did last year. We are remembering our new years resolution on keeping things simple and full of love.
So Lia and I made sugar cookies, we iced them, decorated them. It was pretty great! She loved it.

I don't know if I have mentioned how proud it makes me to have a daughter that is so willing to cook and bake with Robbie or myself.
I can't tell you how special it is to me to have a child that shares my love of something so dear to my heart like cooking and baking.. it's truly amazing.

Here's my pregnancy update:
Three weeks ago

two weeks ago

I am now 22weeks 1 day, in my first week of my 6th month of pregnancy.
Other than my current sickness, the pregnancy has gotten much easier.
I seem to just be tired more than anything else.
I have gained exactly 15 pounds. (no I am not ashamed to admit it)
I can't seem to get enough cereal in my diet. I could eat it all day every day. no problem!!!
I just love it!
I wouldn't say that I've been craving  anything during this pregnancy, just that I go through phases of things that I absolutely love.

Here is our sweet, little man cub.
He is healthy as can be.
He has only allowed his daddy and big sister to feel him move.
Lia is so sweet to him.
She always wants to lie her head down on my belly and talk to him.
always saying, "hi baby duke, how are you? you stuck in there? I will help you. love you much baby duke!!" It's probably the sweetest thing ever.

We found out that Duke could end up being huge. he was measuring a little over a week larger.
We did our ultrasound at 21weeks 3days along and he was measuring 22weeks 5days.
He is super long with a big head and big hands and feet.
So far he seems really laid back and chill.
By this time, Lia wouldn't ever stop moving up to the day she was born.
Just a super wiggly worm.. but baby duke seems to just be calm and along for the ride. however, he does like to stretch out, which hurts A TON, because he pushes my hips apart when he does which makes moving very difficult.
If he keeps growing as fast as he is, my doctor will most likely be moving my due date up depending on how big he is.
Depending on that, I might have to opt for another C-section. That's sad to me, but if he is too large and I go for a regular vaginal delivery, I could end up rupturing my uterus and scar which could be very dangerous to us both. So better safe than sorry, right?

Well that is all for today!! I'll try to blog more as things progress and keep this as up to date as possible!

Happy Wednesday!
