Terrible Two's.... not so bad. YET!

I feel like now that Lia is two, she is just more fun.
She seems a little less naughty!
She understands everything we say and is getting better and better at responding to what we say or tell her to do!
Just the other day, Lia said her very first sentence.
I was sitting on the couch folding laundry..
Lia came up to the me, resting her elbow on the arm of the couch and her hand on her cheek and says,
"Hayyee, oooh coot!!! ...... Kay?"
(Hey, you cute!! ..... Kay)
{Lia feels its necessary to say kay after everything lately}
It took me by complete surprise. It was probably the cutest thing ever.

I never did put Lia's new percentiles from her 2 year check up on here!

So... she's a giant. not like we all didn't know this already.
right now she is as tall as a 3year old at 36 inches.
She's still super skinny weighing in at 25 pounds.
and her head is still perfectly proportionate.

When a child turns two.. they are approx half the height that they will be at full grown.
Any ideas what that means for Lia?
We are looking at a basketball player for sure...
She's going to be between 5'10" and 5'11, doc said maybe even slightly taller.
What the heck... I'm 5'3. {hahaha}
She's going to tower over her momma. She got Robbie's tall gene that's for sure.. with his 6'4"-ness. {haha}

I swear everyone we tell, just laughs... it is so Lia to be just this skinny giant.
I tell Robbie that if we ever have a son He is going to be five feet tall and in the choir.
Being in choir is fine... but Robbie has always dreamed of his son being an amazing athlete! of course... what dad doesn't!
Lia is athletic as can be, tall as can be, one fast cookie and has energy like I've never seen. This girl can go for hours on end.
I have no doubt she will be a champion in sports!
She can shoot a ball perfectly... ahhhh
she can golf, she can jump, kick... run... i'm not bragging... She's just going to get scholarships for sure!!
I already know it.

She is the most nurturing little girl.
She is OBSESSED with her real life baby doll.. it cries, coos, opens and shuts it's eyes, its chest moves when it sleeps... definitely creepy but she absolutely loves it.
she loves to grocery shop in the privacy of her own home. I find everything in that little cart of hers..
We play tea and dress up every day!

We laugh and dance our hearts out constantly...
I know I'm going on forever about her... That's just what proud mom's do, I guess!!

She loves to sing.. it's the cutest thing I've ever heard. Her little, high voice that almost whispers... I die!

Every day she is making me more proud... I love this giant girly girl of mine...
Everyday I learn to be more and more patient... I've really been working hard on that.

What's the most amazing thing of all... above her just being her.. she brings Robbie and I closer together.
We have always been a strong couple, but Lia can't seem to get enough of us when we are all together...
She knows how much we love each other and she "eggs" it on!
She makes us hold hands, she pushes us together to snuggle, even if we are on opposite ends of the couch.
we do "face smooshes", it's when Lia grabs us each by the neck and all three of our cheeks are touching each other. I think that melts my heart the most.
She loves her parents..
She loves her family.
We KNOW that she is happy.

I think that means we are doing something right!!

She is the greatest thing that has ever come of our family and our life will forever be changed by her presence every day that we spend with her.

Lia you are one AMAZING little girl. I would never change a hair on your head!!

We love you more than you will ever know.

{ok, my raving over Lia is over}
