Wedding Cancelled

ROBBIE AND I ARE STILL GETTING MARRIED..... so don't go crazy with the title of this blog.
we have had a certain conversation for a good month and a half and we finally came to a conclusion..
why do we need a big ceremony/reception?
why should we spend so much money for just 4 hours of our life?
it's something for us right?
it's not about finding a venue and caterer...
it's not about inviting everyone you know...
it's not about stressing over a four hour event for months at a time...
it's about 2 people in love, becoming one, right?
or in our case, becoming 3 :)
We have decided to do a courthouse or garden ceremony with our immediate families...
simple.
intimiate.
to the point.
genuine.
perfect.
now we all know how much i wanted this wedding... what girl doesn't see themselves walking down the aisle to her groom?
well.... i'm over it.
i felt like i was getting overwhelmed and going crazy stressing myself out about it.
when robbie brought up the mind blowing alternate... i must admit i put up quite the fight.
haha go me :)
but after not being able to justify why we should have such an extravagent wedding...
i couldn't resist robbie's offer...

WE ARE GOING TO PARIS AND VENICE.....
uh... are you serious?

this was our conversation and robbie's offer.
we do a simple wedding...
and use the money for the wedding for our DREAM honeymoon and trip of a lifetime.
i am no fool.
why would we pass this up this opportunity?
simple answer... YOU DON'T.
when you have child... plan on having more children, and have a career...
you never really know when you might get another chance to go on a great trip like this...
especially not with just the two of us!

can you imagine?

walking out of your hotel to a food market of nothing
but the local finest produce?

sitting at a sidewalk cafe enjoying some of the greatest food on earth..
walking down the canals through venice

enjoying all of the beauty in the design and history of every single corner.

taking the train to go see other cities and sites that we would never want to miss out on.

it might still be a year away in may... even though we will probably be married much sooner...
we have never been more excited to do this with each other.

we can't wait to book this trip!!
we will probably be gone for about a week... without lia...
that seems like an eternity...
and giving up the idea of a wedding and first dance.. the dress...etc..
i just know that once we are sitting at a table at an adorable sidewalk cafe staring at the eiffel tower...
we will know "yeah... this is definitely worth it!!"

Sorry to everyone about us not having the "traditional ceremony or reception"
but we love and thank everyone for your love and support for the past years and all of the years to come :)
