i hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and black friday!
we enjoyed thanksgiving. it was just robbie's immediate family, super low-key. it was nice. lia ate everything that i gave her. she loved it all. she loved the turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes (of course), mash potatoes, you know the deal :)
i made a really yummy pumpkin pie trifle, i got the idea for it on pinterest, but i hated all the recipes for them online so i made my own. it was fabulous. i also have a specialty of candied yam casserole, they were seriously amazing. thanksgiving was awesome!! i can't wait for next year! if we have our own house by then, robbie and i will host it!! so excited!

now we didn't go out shopping on the night of thanksgiving. it's honestly so hectic. why go during that craziness when you can go during the day and get the same deals? well, we stopped by old navy because lia has absolutely no coats. we're so mean, huh?! we have been bundling her up with sweatshirts and other thinner coats, but she needed some warm winter coats. we do live in utah, it's sort of a necessity. anyways. when i say stopped by. i literally mean, we walked in, went to the coats and tried them on lia, and bought them, left. 10 minute trip. hahaha we decided to get two coats since they were 60% off, it was practically by one get one free only the whole total was cheaper than the original price of both of the coats. ah. love it when that happens. as much as we love or i should say, i love old navy, we had to get in and get out so not much shopping. super cute coats though. one is tan with plaid print, kind of looks like a burberry print, if you will, and the other is a super cute  brown sheepskin one that is soo soft, lia literally cuddles with it, when she wears it, i think she likes it!!
so after that we went back to robbie's mom's house to get the christmas tree they gave us!! oh i love it. we set it up last night, while lia slept. we wanted to set it up with her, but it would have made things much much harder! we have a little bit of ornaments and bows on it, but we still need a skirt, robbie wants to put an angel on top, and some more ornaments so we have more shopping to do tonight when he gets home!!
i just can't wait for christmas to come.
