What a whirlwind the last couple of weeks have been!!
Of course, we celebrated Christmas!
We went to Christmas parties with family and spent Christmas Eve eating dinner with my family and then play games with Robbie's family after!
Christmas morning was so fun!
Lia was much more knowing and involved this time around!
She appreciated every present, wanting to open it and play with it right away.
We didn't mind though, I don't see why we should have to rush her to get everything opened up and over with. I think it just takes the way the magic!
We later went to brunch at my mom's, then over to each of our dad's for a visit, then off to Christmas dinner at my mother in law's :)
It seems like it was hectic, but really, we kept it pretty low key!
Another crazy thing happened these last couple of weeks.
LIA TURNED 3!!
What? I'll never understand how they grow so quickly and how the years just fly by!
Here are a few pictures of her Princess Party (theme chosen by the birthday girl, herself!):

Lia with her new rocking pony, birthday morning. |
I let Lia choose pretty much all of the decorations and I added a few things to make it seem a bit more decorated!
I think it turned out cute, not pinterest worthy but who cares!
That's just not necessary for a toddler, in my opinion.
She woke up to a rocking pony in her room and she came into our room yelling about it!
She was beyond thrilled to have a horse she can actually ride!
I decorated everything late the night before so she could wake up to her princess party, ready for her!
She just couldn't contain herself!
It was a really great day!
Now it's the new year,
I can't believe 2014 has officially come...
I only have a few goals for us this year:
1. Bring our new baby into this world, hoping he/she is healthy and everything goes as smooth as possible.
(by the way, we find out the sex of the baby next week! ahhh)
2. Prepare Lia for preschool, she will be starting this fall!
3. Keep life simple. Simplifying expenses, not getting overwhelmed with material things, keep our priorities straight.
4. Keeping things about family and what will make us stronger and better people.
I have had a lot of apprehensions going into this new year, but I have a great husband, great family and friends and I know that this year will turn out great!
