we celebrated lia's first birthday party yesterday... even though she doesn't officially turn one until the 22nd.
earlier this week i came to the conclusion that i was going way to over the top for this party so i cancelled my photographer, i changed almost so everything but the theme for this party. i was getting so stressed out about this party and defeating the whole purpose of why we were getting together in the first place.
i had a family member take pictures and everything turned out great!! robbie's little sister helped me make the cupcakes... they tasted amazing, we iced it with whipped cream and haha they totally melted shortly after we put them out! haha but they still tasted good, just messy ;) her cake was a disaster... lets put it this way. i did it in, no joke, 3 minutes, and it was an ugly mountain.. let it be known, i am a very very good baker and my skills were non existent yesterday. haha don't judge, everyone has those days!! the party was adorable, the food was good, and i loved the whole thing!! she got so many new clothes and toys. she even got her very own princess castle. it's sitting in our living room right now... now we really need a new, bigger place!! it was really low-key and now i can breathe and focus on christmas!!

i smeared the frosting on her face... hahaha she needed to be messy ;) she was being so dainty!! my little princess is just about one and i feel so proud and somewhat old!!
i can't wait for her party next year! :)
