Robbie and I just recently had a
baby girl on
December 22, 2010,
Lia Noelle Thompson. She is the gem in our life. My pregnancy completely came by suprise, I was actually in Portland, Oregon going to pastry school at Le Cordon Bleu and Robbie was still in Utah. We were in such a shock, I moved straight home the following saturday after finding out.
Pregnancy was somewhat hard for me! I was sick until I was about 32 weeks but it really wasn't so bad as long as I really kept busy.
Lia was always an athletic little thing, just like her dad! She was always moving around a ton inside me! She was due on December 15, 2010 and that day had came and gone! We tried everything to get her to come but she was just so cozy in there!! :) We got induced the night of the 21st at around 9:30 and by 4 o'clock the following morning, I was in full labor. They kept giving me morphine which made me miserable because it made me so sick that I would throw up! Not good... So by about 7 o'clock, they had me get my epidural because they really wanted me to get some sleep! At around 8 o'clock they broke my water and Lia was not happy about that at all!
Her heart rate kept dropping every time I would have a contraction. They didn't think she would tolerate labor so we went in for an
emergency C-section. I had prepared myself for that, if I was to need one so I wasn't upset at all!
The surgery went great!! It was so hard to stay awake for the whole thing! She was born at 9:26am. Even though Lia was a week late, she was still so tiny!!
Weighing 6 pounds 6 ounces and 20 inches long!
We were in the hospital over Christmas Eve and we got to leave on Christmas Day. She was the greatest Christmas present
EVER!

Everybody is so obsessed with Lia. However, no one loves her more than mom and dad ;)
